The West Coast Conference has voted to add Oregon State and Washington State as affiliate members in most non-football sports for the 2024-25 academic year, according to a WCC source, a key step in the two remaining Pac-12 schools’ work to sort out short-term landing spots for their teams. The official announcement is expected Thursday.
The WCC presidents met Thursday to hold the vote. The two schools will participate in all WCC-sponsored sports except baseball, and their teams can play in conference tournaments. The schools will have 30 days to decide if they want to add baseball to the league or go independent.

On Dec. 1, the two schools finalized a one-year scheduling agreement with the Mountain West for the 2024 football season, in which Mountain West schools will play seven conference games and one game against either OSU or WSU, which will not count in the Mountain West standings. Oregon State and Washington State will each play three Mountain West games at home and three on the road.
