WCBA: Han Xu and Chennedy Carter shine in China

It’s been a couple of weeks since we’ve checked in on how WNBA players are doing in the Women’s Chinese Basketball Association. Last time, we spotlighted marquee players Cheyenne Parker, Alyssa Thomas, Satou Sabally and Teaira McCowan. Today, we’ll highlight some more notable performances from WNBA players in the WCBA.


Han Xu (Sichuan)

Han Xu didn’t have the WNBA season she had in mind, suffering a foot injury that ended her 2023 campaign early. While her play for Sichuan has been limited, she’s been efficient during her minutes on the court and her team remains near the top of the standings, currently 13-1 and playing the 2-11 Daqing next. As long as Han continues to rack up minutes and compete, the hope is her health, availability and production will translate to minutes with the New York Liberty next season.

Chennedy Carter (Heilongjiang)
