CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The 2023 ITA Division I National Women’s Team Indoor Championship showcases 16 of the top women’s teams in a four-day tournament to crown an indoor national champion.
Preliminary and consolation matches will occur Friday through Sunday (Feb. 10-12) at the Nordstrom Tennis Center and the Seattle Tennis Club in Seattle, Washington. The championship match will take place on Monday, Feb. 13 at 3 p.m. ET at the Nordstrom Tennis Center.
Virginia (5-0) opens play on Friday by facing No. 12 Michigan (4-0) at 6:30 pm ET at the Seattle Tennis Club.
Live video streams and live stats will be available for all of the matches. Cracked Racquets will provide live-streaming coverage all four days with announcers Alex Gruskin and Peri Sheinin.
As a single-elimination tournament, teams will play one match each day with the Championship Match being played on Monday. All teams are guaranteed to play at least three matches over the weekend through either the main or consolation draw.
Virginia is the No. 7 seed in the draw and will face unseeded Michigan in the opening round. Reigning 2022 NCAA National Champions, Texas, is the No. 1 seed. Just behind Texas is second-seeded North Carolina, which has won the last two ITA National Team Indoor…
