Virginia Women’s Tennis | No. 5 Virginia Downs Boston College 6-1

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. — The No. 5 Virginia women’s tennis team (15-2, 7-0 ACC) defeated Boston College (6-10, 1-8 ACC) by a score of 6-1 on Sunday (March 24) at the Boar’s Head Sports Club in Charlottesville, Va.

Virginia won the doubles point with victories on courts one and two. UVA then took a quick 3-0 lead as Natasha Subash won 6-0, 6-0 on court three while Melodie Collard posted a 6-2, 6-1 victory on court five. Elaine Chervinsky clinched the match for Virginia with a 6-2, 6-3 win on court four.

At the top of the ladder, Annabelle Xu won 7-5, 6-2 on court one. Sara Ziodato won 4-6, 6-1, 6-1 on court two.

On the Horizon
The Cavaliers will be back in action on Thursday (March 28) when they host No. 14 NC State at 4 p.m.
