Virginia Women’s Tennis | No. 12 Virginia Hosts No. 20 Georgia Tech and No. 30 Clemson

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. –  The No. 12 Virginia women’s tennis team (13-4, 6-2 ACC) hosts a pair of conference opponents this weekend, starting with No. 20 Georgia Tech (10-6, 4-4 ACC) on Friday, March 31 at 4 p.m. The Cavaliers close the weekend playing No. 30 Clemson (14-7, 2-6 ACC) on Sunday, April 2 at 12 p.m.

MATCH INFORMATION

  • Both matches are scheduled to be played outdoors at the Virginia Tennis Facility at the Boar’s Head Resort. Please check UVAWomensTennis social media accounts for any venue changes
  • Admission is free
  • Live streaming and scoring for both matches will be available through links posted on VirginiaSports.com
  • Friday’s match is Youth Day, with a face painter, balloon artist and more

NOTING THE CAVALIERS

  • Virginia is No. 12 in this week’s ITA team rankings and has won seven of its last eight matches
  • Elaine Chervinsky has won six of her last seven singles matches, including both matches last week on the Florida road trip, improving to 6-2 in conference matches this spring
