Virginia Women’s Tennis | NCAA Women’s Individual Championships

ORLANDO, Fla.– Three members of the Virginia women’s tennis team earned invitations to compete in the NCAA Individuals Championships, being held May 22-27 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Florida.

Grad student Julia Adams earned at-large invitations to compete in both the singles and doubles championships, partnering with sophomore Mélodie Collard in the latter. Senior Natasha Subhash earned an at-large invitation to the singles championship.

Monday, May 22
Subhash advanced to the second round of singles with a 6-2, 4-6, 6-4 win against No. 48 Daria Kuczer of Tennessee. She will face either No. 14 Fangran Tian of UCLA (a 9-16 seed in the championship) on Tuesday.

Adams fell 6-2, 6-3 against No. 50 Layne Sleeth of Oklahoma.

Tuesday, May 23
Subhash will face  No. 14 Fangran Tian of UCLA (a 9-16 seed in the championship) at 10:30 a.m. Adams and Collard will face No. 23 Amelia Honer and Kira Reuter of  UC Santa Barbara in their Round of 32 opening match at 4 p.m.
