Difficulty of leaving coaching
Dunleavy, a Villanova graduate who began his coaching career at his alma mater, spent six years leading the Bobcats, who recorded their best record this season, finishing 20-12 and 11-9 in the MAAC.
As the son of a coach — his dad, Mike, was long-time NBA coach — he admitted that leaving coaching was not an easy decision, but he was drawn by a job that allowed him to stay in the business of basketball without the grind of coaching.
