Today’s major fashion news is that Veronica Leoni has been appointed creative director of Calvin Klein. The Italian designer, with a CV including stints at Jil Sander, Céline, Moncler and The Row will head up the Calvin Klein Collection division, consisting of womenswear, menswear, underwear and accessories. On the announcement, Leoni said, “I’m thrilled and honored to have the opportunity to write a new chapter of the Calvin Klein story. For decades, Calvin Klein interpreted the idea of bold self-expression, and I am willing to empower it with a strong accent on style and creativity.” Leoni is the first official creative force behind the iconic New York-based fashion label since the departure of Raf Simons in 2018. The 2023 LVMH Prize finalist is expected to present her debut collection during the Fall 2025 season.
