Venus Williams has accepted a main draw wildcard into ‘s-Hertogenbosch, the tournament announced. At the age of 42, Williams is set to debut on the grass courts of ‘s-Hertogenbosch. Williams, a seven-time Grand Slam champion, suffered a hamstring injury in the first week of the 2023 season in Auckland.
Williams, who hasn’t played any tournaments since, had been hinting in recent weeks that she was nearing a return. Now, Williams is confirmed for ‘s-Hertogenbosch, a tournament that is set to start on June 12th.
