The end of the year is here, but Gotham FC clearly has its eyes on the future.
After being linked to Crystal Dunn this month, Gotham FC is in advanced talks with two other USWNT stars: Rose Lavelle and Emily Sonnett, according to The Athletic’s Meg Linehan. Signing even two of the three free agents would set the current champions up for serious back-to-back title contention. The team is also in advanced talks to add free agent center back Tierna Davidson.

Gotham FC close to signing Lavelle, Dunn
Gotham would be replenishing its roster after losing captain Ali Krieger to retirement, and two players in trades for expansion draft protection from incoming NWSL clubs Utah Royals FC and Bay FC (goalkeeper Mandy Haught and defender Ellie Jean). Gotham acquired an extra $150,000 in allocation money in their trade with Utah for Haught.
