Two of the nation’s top women’s basketball teams face off as USC and UCLA compete for bragging rights on February 13.
Unbeaten, top-ranked UCLA leads the NCAA with 799 points. USC ranks fourth with 709 points. With other division matchups that weekend, the Big Ten women’s basketball standings could get a shakeup, regardless of the winner.
USC is at the top of the conference, thanks to JuJu Watkins. The 19-year-old averages 24.8 points per game while leading the team in assists (3.7). She has already broken records, becoming the leading scorer among freshmen in NCAA Division I women’s basketball history.
Meanwhile, Rayah Marshall leads in rebounds (9.1), while Kiki Iriafen has become a reliable weapon, scoring 17.8 PPG.
Center Lauren Betts leads UCLA, scoring 21 PPG, 9.9 rebounds, and 3.0 blocks. She set a program record for single-game blocks by a Bruin with nine rejections against Baylor. Kiki Rice leads the team in assists with 4.6 while also scoring 13 PPG.
