In an All-Star Game format last seen in 2021, the WNBA All-Stars are set to take on Team USA ahead of the Summer Games.
The showcase, held at Footprint Center in Phoenix, caps off a weekend full of friendly competition, including the 3-point contest and Skills Challenge, which took place Friday night.
WNBA MVP front-runner A’ja Wilson leads this year’s Team USA squad alongside five-time gold medalist Diana Taurasi. Team USA has claimed gold in the last seven Olympics, and Taurasi seeks a historic sixth medal this year, which would make her the most decorated Olympic basketball player ever.
Newbies highlight Team WNBA, with rookie sensations Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese making their All-Star Weekend debuts. Two of Clark’s Fever teammates, Aliyah Boston and Kelsey Mitchell, will also participate, while Reese is the lone Chicago player to attend.
