The United States women look to continue their dominance over South American giants Brazil as they contest the second of two early-April friendlies from San Jose on Tuesday night.
Goals from Trinity Rodman and Lindsey Heaps led the way in the 2-0 win for the USWNT on Saturday in the first meeting at SoFi Stadium.
The victory reestablished a long stretch of dominance for the USWNT over eighth-ranked Brazil, having won 35 of their 43 all-time matchups, including last summer’s Olympic gold medal match. It brought the U.S. to 24 matches unbeaten on home soil over Brazil, with 22 wins and two draws.
Saturday’s victory coupled with a positive result in the second meeting would be a good recovery step after failing to defend home field in the SheBelieves Cup back in February, suffering defeat to Japan in the round robin finale.
