The USTA has revealed that the US Open will extend its main draw to 15 competition days in 2025, following three years of overwhelming demand and record-breaking attendance. The 2025 edition of the prestigious tournament promises to be the most fan-friendly event in its 145-year tradition.
The 2025 US Open will make history with its first-ever weekend start to the main draw in the Open Era, kicking off on Sunday, August 24, and running through Sunday, September 7.
In addition to the expanded main draw, the event will feature a groundbreaking Fan Week from August 18-23, offering six days of free grounds admission prior to the main draw. Fans will have unprecedented access to the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Flushing, N.Y., giving them a chance to get closer to the action and enjoy all the event has to offer before the singles competition even begins.
For the first time, the tournament will span a full three weeks, from August 18 to September 7. This historic shift provides fans with more opportunities than ever to experience the excitement of the tournament.
