US Open 2023 breaks attendance records: Over 73,000 spectators on Day 3

The USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center was buzzing with excitement on Wednesday as an incredible 73,007 fans turned up at the US Open. This broke all previous records, being the first time the tournament’s single-day attendance went beyond 73,000.

This amazing accomplishment followed Monday’s already impressive record of 72,957 attendees, making these first three days of the US Open the most packed in the history of the Grand Slam.

The significance of this achievement extends beyond numbers; it speaks to the enduring global appeal of tennis and the magnetic pull of the US Open. It’s even more special considering the tournament’s 50th anniversary of equal prize money.
