Christopher Eubanks says Coco Gauff’s US Open win hasn’t changed anything in the way the 19-year-old treats others as she “remains a great person to be around.” Eubanks, who made the Wimbledon quarterfinal this year, is good friends with Gauff and they sometimes practice together.
Gauff, who will be turning 20 in March, made her big Grand Slam breakthrough in front of her home fans in September after lifting her first Major at Flushing Meadows. Following her US Open win, Gauff also reached a career-high ranking of No 3 in the world and replaced Jessica Pegula as the top-ranked American female tennis player.
Also, Gauff’s popularity and fame have increased in the United States since her US Open win and there are more people now following and talking about the 19-year-old.
