Each player on the championship-winning club at Unrivaled will receive $50,000 in prize money, the 3-on-3 league announced Friday.
This money is in addition to what the league has claimed to be the highest average salaries for professional women’s teams — which is reportedly $222,222 — as well as the equity Unrivaled offers players and the $350,000 prize pool for the midseason 1-on-1 tournament.
Napheesa Collier won that tournament and $200,000 with it, half of which she gave to her team’s staff members.
Unrivaled’s playoffs will feature the league’s top four teams and consist of two rounds.
The Lunar Owls and Rose have clinched the top two spots, while the Vinyl, Mist and Laces are all tied with a 5-7 record. Head-to-head records and point differentials will be used as potential tiebreakers. If the playoffs started today, the Vinyl and Mist would round out the four teams.
