It’s that time of year! All eyes are on signing day for the class of 2025, and several three-star recruits have yet to announce their decision. Here’s who to look out for as the start of the signing period begins Wednesday.
Makenzie Grant
Grant could contribute to any school on all four events with her difficulty level and high amplitude across her skills. On vault, she is training a promising double-twisting Yurchenko, and on bars she is working a new toe-on pike half dismount. Her double layout on floor is impressive while the clean lines on her beam series would appeal to any beam coach. Overall, she’s a very strong pick for any school to snag.
Lydia Rak
Four words: side aerial back handspring. Her series would be a great addition to any beam lineup, alongside her Y full turn and her double-twisting dismount. She has great lines on bars, along with a floaty toe-on pike half dismount, and her vault is clean and unique (full-on pike!). Add in her beautiful two and a half on floor and she could definitely contribute to a few lineups.
Georgina Slack
Slack could be a great pick for lineups on three events; bars could use some cleaner form and a bit more difficulty. Her upgraded Yurchenko one and a half is showing a lot of promise, and her triple series on beam…
