U.S. U-16 and U-17 Programs Kick Off 2025 with Concurrent Camps

Some youth team programming is happening! The U.S. U-16 and U-17 teams will meet for concurrent training camps running from January 26 through February 2 at the Chula Vista Elite Athlete Training Center in southern California.

The U-17 team is preparing for qualification to the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Morocco in October. Concacaf qualifying will start in March. Head coach Katie Schoepfer called in 24 players, all with the birth year of 2008. Selections include four players from the U-17 squad that finished third at the 2024 U-17 World Cup, including goalkeeper Evan O’Steen, midfielder Jaiden Rodriguez, midfielder Scottie Antonucci, and forward Mikayla Johnson.

The U-16 squad, helmed by head coach Ciara Crinion, features 24 players, including KK Ream, who recently signed with the Utah Royals of the National Women’s Soccer League.
