The second edition of The Soccer Tournament, a 7-on-7 event complete with its $1 million cash prize, has drawn professionals and celebrities alike to Cary, North Carolina for a week-long competition.
Created in the shadow of the wildly successful TBT (The Basketball Tournament), TST was immensely popular last summer as celebrities like Chad Johnson and Chris Wondolowski took part alongside globally renowned clubs such as Borussia Dortmund and Wrexham, competing for the winner-take-all lump sum reward.
This year, even more attention will be on WakeMed Soccer Park as the tournament adds a second, women’s-only event with an equal $1 million prize at the end.
