Tottenham Women appoint Robert Vilahamn as new head coach

Tottenham Women have appointed Robert Vilahamn as their new head coach.

The 40-year-old has signed a two-year contract, subject to a work permit, to keep him at the club until 2025.

Vilahamn spent the previous two seasons in charge of Swedish side BK Hacken, guiding the club to Champions League qualification last season.

“It’s an honour to join this world-renowned football club and I’m truly motivated by both the challenge and the opportunity that comes with this role,” Vilahamn said. “The club has a talented group of players and I look forward to leading this team in such an exciting project.”

Vilahamn has previously held coaching roles at Ytterby, Orgryte and Qviding in Sweden. He was named BK Hacken assistant manager in 2020, before being appointed head coach of the women’s team in 2022.

Tottenham had been without a permanent head coach following Rehanne Skinner’s sacking in March.

Vicky Jepson was placed in interim charge for the final two months of the season and steered Spurs away from the Women’s Super League relegation zone.
