Soccer infrastructure in the United States is steadily improving as a result of increased revenues and more consistent public investments, with many new stadiums being built all over the country. Some of them may lack the tradition and mystique of iconic venue such as Old Trafford or the Maracana, but some of them are highly comfortable and visually impressive.
To help casual female fans interested in attending their first match in person, we selected a few US-based stadiums that are perfect for introducing someone to soccer. We focused mostly on venues that were built specifically for soccer rather than including converted American football arenas.
Red Bull Arena (New Jersey)
The home stadium of the New York Red Bulls is a great place to witness high-level matches in a great atmosphere. It was built in 2006 and has a beautiful architecture with a partial roof made of Plexiglas to protect the visitors from moody weather typical for the area. In addition to covering all 25,000 seats, the roof also improves acoustics and contributes to the famous noisiness of the stadium.
