5. Eleanor Dale – Nebraska Cornhuskers
Nebraska’s dream season continued as they defeated the upset-minded UC Irvine and ended their Cinderella run 4-0. Eleanor Dale hit the 20-goal plateau with ease and broke the record with the most goals in a season for Nebraska with 28. The Cornhuskers have relied on her to score goals, and Dale has come through every time.
Her teammate provided a great cross into the box, but it was Dale who managed to find the net with one touch. Sliding onto the ball, while it’s in the air and exhibiting that much control shows why Eleanor Dale has been in such great form this season.
