Peter Hawkings was appointed creative director of Tom Ford in April 2023, subsequent to the retirement of Tom Ford himself and selling his namesake label to Estée Lauder for a whopping $2.8 billion. Ford’s long-time associate is now three womenswear collections deep into his tenure as creative director, with his most recent mainline Fall 2024 collection (unveiled during Milan Fashion Week) declared a total triumph. Hawkings’ Resort 2025 collection is here, with the British designer harking back to the 1960s and using imagery of Veruschka von Lehndorff by Richard Avedon as inspiration. Throughout the glitzy and streamlined lineup, croc-embossed patent leather mini skirts and wet-look silk suits make an appearance alongside sky-high stilettos to complete the ultra-chic silhouette.
