Today marks special day for Emma Raducanu as Briton’s good grass season pays off

Emma Raducanu is officially back into the top-100 for the first time in 15 months after improving 41 spots on the updated WTA rankings list and getting to No. 94 in the world. 

Raducanu, a former world No. 10, exited the top-100 just before having three surgeries in 2023 May and she was ranked outside the top-300 when her comeback started earlier this year. 

In early June at the start of the grass season, Raducanu was the 209th-ranked player in the world. But after reaching the Wimbledon round-of-16, as well as being a semifinalist in Nottingham and an Eastbourne quarterfinalist, the 21-year-old Briton improved in a total of 115 spots and went from being No. 209 to ranked at No. 94. 

Since Raducanu doesn’t have a point to defend for the rest of the year, all the chances are that her ranking rise will continue.

Where’s Raducanu next chance for some ranking points?

On July 1st, a WTA 500 tournament in Washington is kicking off and that will be Raducanu’s first tournament of the summer on hard courts. 

And going into Washington, Raducanu feels heavily confident.
