Veteran guard Tiffany Hayes, who retired from the WNBA in December after 11 seasons, has signed with the Las Vegas Aces, the team announced Friday.
Hayes, 34, played for the Connecticut Sun last season following a decade-long run with the Atlanta Dream.
The 2017 All-Star has career averages of 13.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 2.4 assists in 317 games (274 starts).
“Tiffany is a fiery competitor with a winner’s mentality,” Aces general manager Natalie Williams said. “A savvy veteran who will be a great addition to our team.”
Hayes was a second-round pick (14th overall) in the 2012 WNBA draft out of UConn. She made the All-Rookie first team in 2012, the All-WNBA first team in 2018 and the All-Defensive second team in 2018.
“Joining the Aces will be very exciting for me,” Hayes said. “I’m just grateful that they are willing to work with me as I am diving headfirst into a new era in my life. It will be nice to experience the West Coast and this organization as I join them on the road to another winning season. I have no doubts that there is something special brewing, and I’m just another great ingredient being added to the mix.”
