“It’s definitely not the ending I wanted, but playing against him is always tough. I tried to play good tennis, which I did especially in the first set. Then I made a couple of errors and the momentum changed. He he raised the level. It’s hard to stomach, but in the next few days I’ll understand if I’ll be physically fit for the Miami tournament. At the press conference Jannik Sinner analyzed the defeat suffered in three sets against Carlos Alcaraz, in the semi-final of the BNP Paribas Open, the first ATP Masters 1000 of the season to be played on the Californian hard-courts of Indian Wells.
Sinner dominated the first set, previously interrupted by rain after three games. But in the second and third sets, the young Italian committed many unforced serves, especially with his first serve.
