The Top 8 Women’s Soccer Goal Celebrations of 2024

We love a good goal celebration and this year had some bangers. From the NWSL’s celly queen, Lo’eau LaBonta, to some Brazilian flair on the international stage, we’ve compiled some of the best from this past year. 

 

Love and Pride

Barbra Banda is the hattrick queen across domestic and international play, so she’s had a lot of celebrations. The newest addition to the Orlando Pride, she nodded to that in this goal against URFC in June when she kissed the Pride flag after scoring. Banda has had a year of ups and downs, so these moments of joy are important. 

 

Golden medals, golden celebrations

This isn’t a goal celebration but a game celebration. After the heat, the USWNT took after the FIFA World Cup, there was tremendous pressure on them to show up at the Olympics. Coming up against Brazil was already a huge challenge on top of everything else they had come up against. Seeing everyone pile up and hug after that final whistle was pure joy.
