The Solheim Cup will wear green thanks to PING

Date:

The Solheim Cup is the most important competition in the world of golf for women’s teams. Since 1990, every two years, it has faced the best players in Europe vs. the most outstanding female golfers in the United States.

This contest arose at the initiative of Karsten and Louise Solheim, founders of the renowned brand PING, one of the leading golf equipment manufacturers. With a record of 10-7 in favor of the North Americans, the Solheim Cup has become an unavoidable milestone for fans over the years. This year it will be held at Finca Cortesín, on the Costa del Sol, Spain, from September 18 to 24.

The last edition of the Solheim Cup was held on American soil at the Inverness Club, Ohio, and was won by the European team by 15-13.

A green deal

PING, founding partner of the Solheim Cup 2023, once again closed an agreement to dress the entire competition staff. For this reason, more than a thousand volunteers and those responsible for organizing the tournament will wear different designs and colors in green tones as a tribute to Andalusia, the host region of the cup.

“We are extremely pleased to be the official apparel supplier for the tournament staff and volunteers at the 2023 Solheim Cup at La Finca Cortesin, Spain. This tournament wouldn’t be as successful without the support of all these individuals, who work tirelessly to ensure the event is always one to remember. As founding partners, the Solheim Cup holds a very special place among the team at PING, and we are all incredibly proud to be a part of how it continues to elevate the women’s game,” said Lisa Lovatt, Managing Director of PING Europe.

Golf apparel made by PING is known for providing women with the perfect balance between performance and style. And this happens on and off the golf course. The latest PING collections combine colors and designs from comfortable and modern fabrics, distinguishing each woman who chooses the famous brand.

Jennifer Kupcho, Caroline Masson, In Gee Chun, Young In Chun, and Brittany Altomare, among other golfers, are prominent ambassadors of the brand founded in 1959.
