Camila Giorgi triumphed in the WTA 250 in Merida, beating the Swedish Rebecca Peterson in the final: 7-6(3) 1-6 6-3 is the final result in favor of the Italian tennis player.
After her triumph in Mexico last week, Camila said: “I’m very happy to be here, especially as it’s my first time in Mexico. Really a surprise to be here, with this atmosphere, a fantastic week and what a final we played Rebecca!
I’m really satisfied and thank you very much. Thanks to the crowd. I enjoyed staying here in Mexico for the first time and I really enjoyed it. I’ve known new habits, habits of this place, and I’m very happy. Thank you! I dedicate this title to my father.” This is the fourth title of her career for Camila Giorgi.
