The world No.1 Novak Djokovic won the lTF World Champions, the annual award for the best players of the year. For the 24-time Slam champion, this is the eighth success in his career: a new milestone, as he has become the only one to have achieved so many since this award has existed.
Yet another record obtained by Novak Djokovic, crowning another season lived as an absolute protagonist, in which the 36-year-old Serbian won another 3 Slam titles out of the four available, also playing the final at Wimbledon, to which were also added two ATP Master 1000 (Cincinnati and Paris Bercy), the ATP 250 in Adelaide and the ATP Finals in Turin, in the final against Jannik Sinner.
Another recognition, another record added to a now infinite list. If Djokovic, despite Roger Federer’s withdrawal and Rafael Nadal’s absences from the Tour, had to renounce the award for the most loved tennis player by fans of 2023 – the award given at the 2023 ATP Awards to Jannik Sinner – it came early for the Serbian consolation.
