July is a fickle month. For those first three days, it feels like a never-ending summer lies before you, just waiting to be packed with banking mileage for fall marathons, adventuring in the high alpine, and, this year, binging the Paris Olympics. And then the Fourth of July comes and goes and poof, summer feels like it will be gone before you know it.

So we’re feeling the panic to pack it all in now before it’s too late—despite high-90s temps doing their best to thwart the best laid plans.
