It wasn’t hardly the best of times as her obligations to the tennis community and fans forced her to get back on the competitive courts even when she wasn’t fully ready to give it her all.
The young Brit hopes that the worse is over and a new beginning will happen once she heals from surgeries she desperately needed and to start practicing again. But that may be a timetable that no one can really predict. Raducanu has undergone surgery on both hands and left ankle.
She explained her absence will be the French Open and Wimbledon and further says “It pains me that I will miss the summer events…” Well, it goes into the afterthought of her not even being around for the U.S. Open, one that she reveived her maiden grand slam title in 2021.
The revolving door of coaches Emma has had must also be worked out. The Brit will feel content now to just rest, recuperate and re-group on what tournaments she’ll be ready to tackle. The WTA has some tough and gritty competitors…
