In the December issue of Women’s Running we’ve been trying to figure out what makes runners tick by investigating the link between our running and our genetics.
And because it’s December (almost), we’re also taking a very serious look at rest and recovery. Many of us won’t have huge amounts of time to train over the next few weeks, and this is the ideal time to make sure we’re getting the proper rest and nutrition we need ahead of the next training block.
Speaking of which, once you’ve got that rest in the bag, we’ve got the easiest marathon plan ever – it’s so super simple that at least two of us are going to be following it, and the mileage won’t make you choke on your sprouts either.
We’ve also got tons of inspiration for those last-minute pressies, with the most gorgeous shoes, tops and tech to add to your Santa lists (or to wrap for a running buddy). Happy Christmas and happy running!
