Finally Rafael Nadal is going return to the court! After The Netflix Slam exhibition on Sunday 4 March against Carlitos Alcaraz, the Spanish champion will play his second official tournament of 2024, after the Brisbane International.
In fact, Nadal will play at the BNP Paribas Open, the first ATP Master 1000 of the season which will be played on the Californian hard-courts of Indian Wells from 6 to 17 March.
There is a date for the return to the court of the 22-time Slam champion, who has been sidelined since early January due to the injury he suffered in Brisbane. Nadal will take to the court in the evening session on Thursday 7 March, a year and a half after his last participation in an ATP Masters 1000.
On that occasion, the Spanish tennis player was eliminated in the second round of the Paris Bercy tournament by the American Tommy Paul.
Nadal’s goal is to get as many matches as possible in his legs before the real and gola, which is obviously the European season on clay courts. Nadal dreams of winning his 15th Roland Garros title, in what is expected to be his last season on the ATP Tour.
El intenso ☀️ de California nos espera ‼️
