Thai golf star Jeeno Thitikul takes decisive lead in PIF Saudi Ladies International

Thai golfing sensation Jeeno Thitikul shot a spectacular eight-under-par second round at Riyadh Golf Club to surge to the top of the leaderboard in the PIF Saudi Ladies International.

The women’s World No. 4 set the Saudi desert alight, with a masterclass of shot-making, recording six birdies and three pars in an impressive front nine. The 21-year-old then cemented her lead by adding two further birdies on the blustery back nine.

The rising star of the women’s game is no stranger to the spotlight, having finished her 2024 season in style with a win in the CME Group Tour Championship, along with two second place finishes.

Jeeno Thitikul thanks Thai players on her team

“It definitely helped that I had Thai players on my team today,” Thitikul insisted, after signing for a 64, the lowest score of the week. “You try to do your best individually, but you know if you play well the team benefits too. My putter worked really well, I just tried to let it go.”

PIF Saudi Ladies International has a unique team format
