The Texans continue to make changes the city’s fans have clamored for with the release of their new uniforms on Tuesday.
New principal owner Cal McNair has made a conscious effort to be more fan- and city-friendly with the organization over the past few years. As a result he and his wife, Hannah, have thrived in their new roles. These moves finally match the fans’ passion to win now, too.
The reveal of the latest uniforms shows they have come a long way from the Clay Walker days. Now, they openly celebrate every corner of Houston and the culture that has been so often copied worldwide.

Texans new uniforms embrace Houston
Houston’s 1990s rap scene laid the foundation of most of the culture displayed in new uniforms. The style was uniquely H-Town’s — from the candy-painted slabs with elbows poking out, swangin’ six lanes on Vogue tires while popping trunk to show off the speaker setup in the back, usually with a neon sign or a screen falling “from the sky,” before it closed back down.
