The everyday jogger isn’t as robust as soft shell pants you’d climb a mountain in, nor are they lifesaving items like avalanche airbags or helmets that traditionally get tested more rigorously. But during my decade of working as Outside’s Gear Guy, the tests I’ve enjoyed the most are when we’ve gone deep on everyday pieces of gear like the humble jogger.
