According to Merriam-Webster, a Dark Horse is “a usually little known contender that makes an unexpectedly good showing.” Though we know much more than little about the field of 48 in the 18 Open Division at Nationals, there are some teams that others may not know as well, but have the potential to not only have a strong showing at the National Championships in Columbus, but to win the whole dang thing. Today, we’ve selected five teams that you may not have heard of, seen, or competed against, but that have the talent and the resume to take home the ‘ship.
