1. The LPGA is one of the pioneering women’s professional associations in golf.

Headquartered in Daytona Beach, Florida, the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) is the primary umbrella organization for women’s golf. Founded in 1950, it is a non-profit organization. The LPGA Tour has an annual calendar of tournaments in which the best female golfers in the world partake. In the 2023 season, the participants of the 33 official events will contend for a total purse of $101.4 million in prizes. It is worth adding that it is an institution with a marked focus on promoting golf and supporting various charitable causes.

2. Golf instructors, coaches, and business managers are nucleated at the LPGA Professionals.

Since 1959, instructors, coaches, and business managers have been part of what is now known as the LPGA Professionals (formerly LPGA Teaching and Club Professionals). Currently, there are more than 1,800 professionals (under the umbrella of the LPGA) who dedicate their time to training in everything related to the advancement and development of golf in a wide range of work segments: main professionals, assistant professionals, teaching professionals, golf directors, golf school and facility owners, golf administrators, college and high school coaches and much more.

3. The LPGA Foundation leads projects aimed at improving the lives of girls and women through the game of golf.

With the firm purpose of empowering, inspiring, and transforming the lives of girls and women, the LPGA Foundation plays a fundamental role in the women’s golf ecosystem. Since 1991, this foundation has as its main objectives: the development of junior golf programs, scholarships for junior golfers, financial assistance for different projects in the golf industry, and research and development of educational activities related to golf.
