Aryna Sabalenka in Dior

Today, we’re going to discuss the fashion sense of one of the fiercest players in the Tennis world, Aryna Sabalenka. It’s no secret that Aryna is one of the best women’s Tennis players. But what sets her apart from her fellow Eastern European opponent, Iga Swiatek, is her impeccable sense of fashion.

If there’s one thing we know about Aryna Sabalenka, it’s that she has impeccable taste. Whether she’s on the court or off, she knows how to dress to impress. And her designer choices are top-notch. From the Van Cleef Arpels necklace she frequently sports on the court to her off-duty looks from Dior, Bottega, and Valentino, she’s always dressed to kill. So, let’s take a deep dive into Aryna’s Instagram, and discuss some of her best fashion looks!

Aryna Sabalenka’s Best Instagram Looks

Wow. Aryna knows how to serve looks. In fact, she’s been quoted saying that if she wasn’t a Tennis pro, she would choose to be a fashion model. And in this video, her passion for fashion and posing certainly shows.

Aryna chose not to tag this look, so here is what our investigations found! She chose to wear her classic jewelry brand, Van Cleef Arpels. Aryna can almost always be seen wearing a Van Cleef Arples necklace on the court. Here she is wearing the Vintage Alhambra Earrings in Malachite and the Vintage Alhambra Necklace in Mother-of-Pearl.

She can also we seen wearing a pair of Mach & Mach Faux Pearl Embellished Heels. Mach & Mach is known to be an “in the know brand,” so either Sabalenka has a skilled stylist or she really does have a passion for fashion.

Sabalenka in Dior

However, perhaps her favourite brand of them all, Christian Dior. This one is slightly frustrating. A quick deep-dive into Aryna’s Instagram feed and you’ll find that Dior is one of her top brands. However, the Tennis star that Dior has decided to name as a global ambassador is Emma Raducanu. We get it, Raducanu has a significantly larger social media presence, however it’s impossible to ignore that Aryna is both a better Tennis player and more stylish. So, what gives Dior?

In any case, Aryna loves to make reels like the one above. It’s a creative and fun way to show off her personality and style. In this reel she can be seen wearing the Dior Monogram Triangle Bikini Top and Bottoms. She can also be seen wearing a stylish pair of Dior DWAY Slides.

But what we love most about Sabalenka is that she doesn’t take herself too seriously. She has a great sense of humour, she’s beautiful, fashionable, and an amazing Tennis players. She’s proof that you don’t have to sacrifice style for sport. You can have it all and be both an athlete and a fashion icon. She’s unapologetic about her passion for fashion and puts it on full display. So, let’s take a cue from Aryna, ladies don’t be afraid to make a statement with your fashion choices!

Iga Swiatek, Stuttgart Open

Today, let’s talk about the world’s number one tennis player and reigning French Open champion, Iga Swiatek. This 21 year old Polish sensation has been making waves in the tennis world with her impressive victories and stunning performances. From victories to losses, and injuries in between, Iga Swiatek is a fighter and her victory in Stuttgart against world number two Aryna Sabalenka is proof of it!

In late February, Swiatek emerged victorious at the Qatar Open, defeating world number three Jessica Pegula in the final. It was an impressive feat for the young player who had already made a name for herself with her incredible win at the French Open last year.

However, Swiatek’s fortunes took a turn for the worse at Indian Wells, where she suffered a devastating loss to Elena Rybakina in the semi-finals. Despite the setback, Swiatek remained focused and determined to get back on track.

And that’s exactly what she did. After missing the Miami Open due to injury, Swiatek bounced back with a vengeance at the Stuttgart Open, where she made her way to the final. And what a final it was! It’s no secret that Swiatek performs better on clay. And, with clay season just ramping up, we can expect to see many more finals like the one we witnessed in Stuttgart.

Swiatek vs. Sabalenka at the Stuttgart Open

Iga Swiatek, Porsche Tennis Grand Prix champion 2023

In a thrilling match against Aryna Sabalenka, Swiatek showed off her trademark power and precision, ultimately claiming victory in two straight sets. It was a masterful performance that left fans and analysts alike in awe of the young player’s talent and skill.

The match against world number two Aryna Sabalenka was bound to be a good match. Sabalenka reigned champion at the Melbourne Open in early 2023. And during the WTA final of 2022, Sabalenka beat Swiatek for the championship, a devastating loss.

Is Sabalenka the Nadal to Swiatek’s Federer? It’s beginning to look that way. And, with Swiatek’s recent partnership with On Running, it looks like sponsors expect to see big things from Swiatek now and in the future!

With this latest win under her belt, Swiatek is once again proving that she is a force to be reckoned with on the tennis court. Her meteoric rise to the top of the sport is a testament to her hard work, dedication, and sheer talent.

What sets Swiatek apart from other players is her keen mental focus. She’s able to maintain a level head and enter every match with a no expectations attitude. She’s beyond humble and is often heard praising her opponents during press interviews. It seems that Swiatek has found the perfect balance between self-confidence and humility, pushing herself to be the best she can be while remaining grounded and focused on her goals.

So, here’s to Iga Swiatek, the world’s number one tennis player! What’s next for Iga? The Italian Open, of course. The perfect warm up for the French Open, where we’ll see if Iga can defend her title as the reigning champion of the French!

Aryna Sabalenka BNP Paribas Open, Nike Skirt

The BNP Paribas Open is one of the most prestigious and highly anticipated tennis tournaments in the world. While the focus is primarily on the world-class tennis players competing for the title, fashion also plays a significant role in the event. This year, it appears the Nike girls share one thing in common, the NikeCourt skirt and shorts. With pleats having a revival on the runways it’s only natural they make their way to the courts. Today, we’ll take a closer look at the fashion at the BNP Paribas Open and what trends we’ve seen so far.

The BNP Paribas Open is a 12-day event that attracts thousands of tennis fans from all over the world. It’s not only a competition between athletes, but also a fashion show for the spectators. From casual fans to fashion enthusiasts, with all eyes on the court, there’s no doubt it’s an occasion worth dressing up for.

Emma Raducanu

Emma Raducanu BNP Paribas Open

It’s no secret that Emma Raducanu is having her moment and absolutely killing it at the BNP Paribas Open. With any luck, we’ll be seeing much more of her and her stylish Nike outfits. As a Nike girl, Raducanu has been seen sporting this skirt before. In Melbourne, she rocked the same skirt in a purple hue. I’m talking about the NikeCourt Dri-FIT Advantage Tennis Skirt in black.

Petra Kvitova

Petra Kvitova, BNP Paribas OpenPetra Kvitova is another Nike girl that has been killing it in the desert. There’s no doubt that Kvitova is also a major fan of the NikeCourt Dri-Fit Advantage skirt. We saw her wearing two colourways of the skirt, green and purple, in Melbourne. In Indian Wells she already been seen wearing the black version that Raducanu can be seen in, as well as this light blue version. Unfortunately, this light blue colour doesn’t appear to be available online.

Aryna Sabalenka

Aryna Sabalenka, BNP Paribas Open, Nikecourt shorts

After her win at the Australian Open, Aryna Sabalenka has nothing to prove. Though she’s also been spotted many times before wearing the famed pleated NikeCourt skirt, she opted for a more subtle iteration for the desert. Sabalenka can be seen wearing the NikeCourt Dri-FIT Advantage shorts. Equally chic, yet casual and comfortable. Also, special shout out to her Van Cleef Arpels Vintage Alhambra necklace. It takes a chic woman to pull off luxury jewellery on the court. With Sabalenka’s performance to date, I’m guessing she is banking on another victory, and saving her best outfits for the finals.

Overall, the NikeCourt Dri-FIT Advantage line is a great choice for tennis players. Whether you choose the skirt or the shorts, you’ll stay comfortable, dry, and stylish during matches. It’s moisture-wicking technology, comfortable fit, and stylish design make it a popular choice among tennis players and sportswear enthusiasts alike. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned pro, the NikeCourt Dri-FIT Advantage line is definitely worth considering for your next tennis match. Best of all, the Nike girls approve this choice. With their stamp of approval, I’m hoping Nike will continue to release both the skirt and shorts in even more colourways.

Karolina Pliskova, Australian Open Women's Apparel 2023

Spoiler alert, you won’t be seeing Serena Williams in a catsuit. Though we’re sure she’s at home watching, wearing something of the like. The beauty of the Australian Open is the lack of restrictions on player apparel, a welcome change from that of the Wimbledon White. So, what’s trending at the Australian Open in women’s tennis apparel?

1. Nike’s Melbourne Collection

Aryna Sabalenka wasn’t the only one sporting Nike’s latest Melbourne Collection. The theme for the Australian Open? Hues of blue, purple, and pink coupled with abstract patterns. The Spring Slam Dress features a racer front design and a mini-printed skirt. Though this style isn’t particularly unique in design, the colours echo that of the playfulness and resort style typically associated with Australia. What’s better? This look pairs almost intentionally with the court.

As far as looks go, this one deserves a Grand Slam. Emma Raducanu, wearing the purple pleated Nike Spring Slam Skirt paired with its coordinating Spring Slam Tank. The best part? The tennis shoes of course. The Nike Zoom Vapor 11 sneakers in fuchsia pair perfectly with this ensemble. It’s no wonder these beauties are on backorder.

2. Joma’s Seafoam Blue

Women's Tennis Court Fashion and Trends. Madga Linette. Australian Open 2023. Australian Open Women's Tennis

Despite being sponsored by Joma and not Nike, it appears that Magda Linette understood the assignment. Sporting a seafoam blue Joma dress with a coordinating visor. This look is classic and preppy, nodding to the pre-Serena Williams era of tennis apparel. Although this look doesn’t appear to be off-the-rack, I did manage to find some Joma pieces that will give you the Madga look (skirt, top, and tennis trainers).

3. Fila’s Alley Collection

Women's Tennis Court Fashion and Trends. Australian Open. Carolina Pliskova. Australian Open Women's Tennis

Was it cruel of me to put Karolina Pliskova last, after Magda Linette? Maybe. Karolina can be seen sporting Fila’s latest release, the Alley Collection, which dropped just ahead of the Australian Open. This collection echoes that of both Nike and Joma, including shades of blue, purple, and pink. Even better? This entire look is available for purchase. Karolina can be seen wearing the Alley Pleated Skort paired with its coordinating Alley Printed Racerback Tank.

Australian Open Women's Tennis

I couldn’t help but give Karolina Pliskova’s tennis shoes their own moment. The Fila Axilus 2 Energized, they’re bright and yet the coordinating tread makes them the perfect match to her entire ensemble.

The Takeaway

The top trends for women’s tennis apparel at the 2023 Australian Open include hues of blue, purple, and pink, abstract patterns, and pleated skirts.

As an avid women’s Tennis fan, I feel that something is missing in fashion for this year’s Australian Open. Could it be the custom Nike looks that we’ve become accustomed to seeing on the likes of Serena Williams, Naomi Osaka, and Maria Sharapova? While I love that the off-the-rack options allow us to shop the looks of our favourite Tennis players, I feel that the custom looks provide a greater opportunity for self-expression. With so many eyes on the Australian Open, why not use it as an opportunity to share your personality and creativity with your fans?
