As the meet came to an end Australia took home 13 medals – four gold, five silver and four bronze.
For 16-year-old Pallister, she re-wrote six of her personal bests, winning gold in the 400m, 800m and 1500m freestyle and silver in the 200m freestyle while also playing a key part of the silver-medal winning 4×100 and 4x200m freestyle relay teams.
She rounded off a successful Pan Pacs by shaving 20 seconds off her 1500m freestyle personal best (16:08.09) to set a new Championship record and make the top 10 Australian All-time record for 1500m.
Her performance saw her leapfrog her mum and 1988 Olympian Janelle Elford.
Elford, a two-time Olympic finalist, Commonwealth Games gold medallist and two-time Pan Pacs champion over 1500m freestyle, is now her coach and was with Lani poolside.
“I’m just so proud of her, as a mum and as a coach; she has worked so hard and she really deserves it, just a wonderful feeling…I’m happy for her,” said Elford.
Pallister’s gold in the 400m freestyle once again saw her surpassing her mum’s personal best from Seoul 1988 with a time of 4:07.76.
