This Friday, Omaha will take on Kansas City in the first game of the women’s Summit League tournament to crown the conference champion.
The South Dakota State Jackrabbits won last season’s tournament, defeating the Omaha Mavericks to earn an NCAA tournament bid. This season, the Jackrabbits are back. They didn’t lose a single game to a Summit League opponent, finishing 16-0 in conference play. They finished the regular season 24-5.
Brooklyn Meyer is leading the Jackrabbits in points and rebounds, averaging 17.2 points and 8.0 rebounds per game. She’s shooting a blistering 58.9 percent from the field, too.
