The world’s top ATP and WTA players will compete at the new Mubadala Citi DC Open in Washington D.C. July 29 – August 6 at the William H.G. FitzGerald Tennis Center in Rock Creek Park. The tournament is a result of the merger between the Citi Open and the Mubadala Silicon Valley Classic, a combined event set to become the fifth largest professional tennis tournament in the United States and the only ATP-WTA 500 level tennis tournament in the world.
The player lineup for the tournament is already packed with stars. Among them are four Top 10 WTA players, three Top 10 ATP players, four Grand Slam champions, three former world No.1s, and four previous D.C. champions.
On the women’s side, the WTA field includes prominent players such as Coco Gauff, the world No.6 and 2019 D.C. doubles champion; Jessica Pegula, the world No.3 and 2019 D.C. singles and 2022 doubles champion; Victoria Azarenka, the former world No.1 and two-time Australian Open champion; Caroline Garcia, the world No.5 and 2022 WTA Finals champion; Daria Kasatkina, the world No.9 and 2022 San Jose champion; Sloane Stephens, the 2017 US Open champion and 2015 D.C. champion; and Elina Svitolina, the former world No.3 and 2023 Roland Garros quarterfinalist.
