- However, those aged 70+ are most likely to achieve them
- This is followed by Strava users in their 50s, 60s, 40s and 30s

- The average British woman runs a 5K in 31:50 minutes
- The average British man takes 27:16 minutes to complete the distance
What the January goal setting data tells us
The 2022 data examined the January goal setting habits of Strava users. It shows that while Gen Z is most likely to set goals in January, the older generations win on commitment and consistency. Those aged 70 and over are most likely to achieve their goals, followed by users in their 50s, 60s, 40s and 30s.
Goal setting on Strava includes defining targets for distance, duration, power and elevation for every trackable activity on the app. Users can do this on a weekly, monthly and annual basis or even for specific segments.
