Los Angeles Sparks rookie Cameron Brink suffered a torn left ACL during the first quarter of Tuesday’s loss to the Connecticut Sun, the Sparks announced Wednesday.
The team said it would provide additional details about Brink’s injury at a later date.

Los Angeles entered Tuesday’s contest on a three-game losing streak, and bad quickly turned to worse for the team when Brink exited the game with the injury. The No. 2 draft pick was driving at Bri Jones from the top of the key with 6:23 to play in the first quarter when she fell to the floor.
Brink immediately looked to be in severe pain and clutched her left knee. She limped off the court and was helped back to the locker room, not returning to the bench for the remainder of the first half. The Sparks announced at halftime that she would be unavailable for the remainder of the game because of her knee.
