In the 20th game of her professional career, Angel Reese broke a 14-year-old record. Reese posted her 13th consecutive double-double against the Seattle Storm, besting Candace Parker’s 12-game double-double streak that spanned the 2009 and 2010 regular seasons.
Reese, the No. 7 pick in the 2024 draft, posted 17 points and 14 rebounds in Chicago’s 84-71 loss to the Storm as the Sky split their two-game set in Seattle.
She has been rewriting the record books throughout her rookie season. She is the only rookie in Chicago Sky history to post at least 20 points and 15 rebounds in a single game. On June 30, Reese set the single-season record for consecutive double-doubles with 10, a mark she has since extended.
She also has 14 double-doubles this season, which is the most in the league. Reese also leads the WNBA in total rebounds and offensive rebounds.
