SEC basketball legends face off for the final time this season as the Aces host the Sky for one last showing during the 2024 WNBA season.
Rather than Las Vegas’s usual Michelob Ultra Arena, this matchup will be at the T-Mobile Arena, a venue nearly twice as big in the heart of the city’s Strip. And the game should live up to those standards.
In the teams’ last meeting in Sin City, their final game before the Olympic break, the Sky pulled out a 93-85 win over the two-time defending champions. Chennedy Carter went off for a season-high 34 points. However, the Aces got their revenge recently with a 77-75 nailbiting win. Carter drilled a 3-pointer to tie it up in the final seconds, but A’ja Wilson went end-to-end for a literal last second layup. And Las Vegas walked it off.
It should be another thriller in Las Vegas as Wilson and Angel Reese battle it out. The Aces are all but guaranteed to make the playoffs while the Sky need to keep the gas to do so, and a win over the Aces would be the confidence booster they need.
