Sinner’s coach would ‘help’ Simona Halep to play the Miami Open

According to tennis.com, there was a particular contact who helped Simona Halep receive the invitation to play the Miami Open 2024.

It seems to have been the Australian Darren Cahill, current coach of Jannik Sinner but also former coach of the Romanian, precisely in the years in which she reached the No.1 spot in the WTA ranking, who spoke with the director of the Miami Open James Blake, convincing him to decide to entrust one of the wild cards to the class of 1991.

The 58-year-old from Adelaide confirmed to him that Halep was in good physical condition, despite the temporary suspension that deprived her of playing competitive competitions, and that she had continued to train in recent months.
