There’s now an ever-revolving door at Jean Paul Gaultier HQ, and we kinda live for it during Paris Fashion Week’s haute couture season. Following a whole plethora of jaw-dropping collections by Chitose Abe, Glenn Martens, Olivier Rousteing, Haider Ackermann and Julien Dossena, Simone Rocha was announced earlier this week as the latest designer tasked with creating a couture collection for Jean Paul Gaultier.
Following the legendary designer’s last bow as creative director of his namesake fashion house back in 2020, Gaultier has since adopted the method of welcoming a designer of his choice as the creative force behind his haute couture collections. Gaultier has handpicked Simone Rocha for the upcoming Spring 2024 haute couture offering, which is set to be unveiling during Paris Fashion Week in January 2024.
